主要研究方向：機器學習、數據挖掘、計算智能、地下管網探測與數據融合、演化計算等
陳歡歡，IEEE Fellow、教授、博導、國家級青年人才。2004年獲中國科技大學學士學位，2008年獲英國伯明翰大學博士學位，現為中國科學技術大學計算機學院教授。在國外重要學術期刊IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems，IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering,IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation和人工智能領域重要國際學術會議 IJCAI、KDD、AAAI等發表論文150餘篇。獲2024年度“王寬誠育才獎”、2022年安徽省教學成果一等獎與中國科學院“優秀導師獎”。在科研成果中，榮獲教育部自然科學二等獎，國際神經網絡協會的青年科學家獎，ACM中國新星提名獎。發表的文章榮獲IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks 年度最佳論文獎（全年發表論文僅此1篇論文獲獎），博士論文榮獲IEEE計算智能學會優秀博士論文獎與英國計算機學會全英優秀博士論文獎，IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems優秀副編獎，TETCI優秀副編獎等。
作為項目負責人主持了科技創新2030-“新一代人工智能”重大項目“跨媒體因果推理與決策關鍵技術研究”、首批國家重點研發計劃“大數據知識工程基礎理論及其應用研究”五課題之一“知識導航中的交互機理”、國家基金委重大研究計劃項目（已獲滾動支持）、國家基金委重點項目、國家基金委麵上項目、國家基金委與英國皇家學會合作交流項目、安徽省重大專項等。
